Current Project

Arianne MacBean is honored to be the recipient of a 2011 CHIME Award produced by The Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. Arianne is currently being mentored by local Choreographer/Educator, Lionel Popkin, as part of the CHIME mentorship exchange program. MacBean and Popkin will analyze the role movement plays in dance-theater performance. More specifically, they aim to reinvigorate and structure Arianne’s creative process in order to allow for rigorous movement development within her dance-theater framework. They will spend the bulk of their time looking at how to further develop the moment-to-moment integrity of physical imagery in Arianne’s dance theater work. Arianne is delighted to be working with Max Eugene, who is currently writing a dance for the camera entitled My Wonderwhy.
