On
January 22, 2004 The Los Angeles Times featured Arianne MacBean as one
of "five who are raising the barre" in the LA dance scene. Noted
as one of the city's "movers and shakers" MacBean was highlighted
in the weekend calendar cover story as a "dance activist" for
her work with the Dance Moving Forward Festival, Dance Resource Center,
and Oakwood School. As Artistic Director of The Big Show Co, the Times
said that MacBean was "at home with whimsy as she is with mining
the female psyche... a face to watch."
